They were the governments of Canada, Croatia, France,Germany, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United Nations. The U.S. response - Thank you, but no thank you, we've got it. Hows things working out 58 days later? Glearth= to explore the world with Google Earth. Starving artists can travel the world and create digital paintings....all you need is Google Earth, Street View, and time. With the recent report that the Swiss want Google to yank Street Views, I quickly traveled there to explore street views and road scenes.....yep you can read license plates, but wow the scenery is spectacular!!......I practiced some road art as I traveled and sipped coffee. Middle image is Montbovan; bottom image is Bern.

Took another trip to Klima on the Greek Isle of Milos, but to venture off road, you have to find pics on Panoramio .....daydreamed about sunrise as I digitally painted a scene from image by Diojan.

Over the last few days I have been disconnected from my favorite MMORPG several times as well as timing out on web page access. I called my internet service provider based out of Washington state and they said to test my connection via http: www.speedtest.net , the Global Broadband Speed Test or Speakeasy at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/. Looks like the results suck....check your if you get dropped from gaming or suffer time outs on loading web pages. This site saves your results and you can check it periodically.

Update: Don't use BDR BROADBAND......it sucks!

Recent images from NASA's Mars Reconn Orbiter shows lava plain with strange black holes over 100 meters wide, which could be the entrances to vast underground caverns......so large that Earth's largest cave systems would be lost. Imagine what creatures could lurk in there or what mineral deposits and formations could exist there? Reminds one of the Jules Verne classic "Journey to the Center of the Earth" or H.G. Well's "The First Men in the Moon" This is Cavor's discovery of the Selenites.. excerpt "... A buddy of mine is going to England and plans to visit Stonehenge....here ya go and hope it helps!
Not to rehash but yes it is a strange megalith tied to the sun and to death...as to how "they" moved the stones? guess you'll have to dig some in these links....there are references to that they could have used a system of wooden levers to move the blocks of stone into place.

To Vista or not to Vista?

Okay I caved in to technophilia and got Windows Vista Basic upgrade. Let me warn you, after 3 attempts to install it I finally had to do a clean install and it worked, three hours or so later. It says it saves your old files but don't count on XP or older version programs to work on Vista. Reinstall them all. The eye candy is well worth it, as well as search capabilities and gadgets. A minor annoyance is adding programs which you don't realize you lost until its time to use....java platforms, anti-virus, anti-spam, decompression programs for rar, ico, and other files. A major annoyance is that my old scanner and printer not longer run, even after finding "new drivers". So far Vista is well worth it (day two).

Gaming on WoW didn't suffer except the music as choppy at times so i turned it off. You can also use flash drive to speed up Vista using its special "readyboost" under properties. unfortunately my flash drive did not have the "required performance characteristics for use in speeding up your system". All in all it has my thumbs up. Am I part of the Borg now? Only time will tell...

Update: Now my Lexmark Z515 (2003 model) and Umax Astra 4400 (4-5 years old) don't work, nor does some Windows XP friendly software such as Norton System Works 2006. So when you buy Vista count on the added expense of new hardware and software.....it's the computer industry way~!

A Bug that eats the world?

Back in 2001 at Zyvek scientist, Dr. Robert Frietas Jr., wrote the first real paper on the dangers of uncontrolled nanorobots.....no not a "Terminator" type self replicator, but something so small you would not be able to see them unless they were massed together or created "grey goo". Sounds like sci-fi, in fact I think a famous sci-fi writer ran with that idea in his book "Prey" (Michael Crichton).

In a small business park in Richardson, Texas, Dr. Frietas wrote the grey goo study........this is kinda scary since its only a few miles from me!!! Department of Defense contractors are or were regular visitors here.....
